How many people can it feed?
  • 1kg Stu Yok - about 4-6 pax
  • 2kg Stu Yok - about 6-10 pax
  • The above are estimations. It's always good to keep in mind if your guests are big/small eaters and how much other food you may be serving.
How should I cut the roast pork?

  • With a sharp knife, follow the vertical lines on the crackling and cut straight through.

  • Lay each slice of meat on its side and chop into rectangular pieces (roughly 1cm width, or however thick/thin you want) - make sure no one is looking when you pop a piece in your mouth.

  • When plating, try to avoid having the crackling sit in the delicious meat juices as this may soften the crackling.

How do I reheat the roast pork?

  • Reheating  after collection: Pre-heat the oven to 160°C. Place the roast pork on the lowest rack in the oven for about 10-15mins... Keep an eye on the roast pork to ensure the skin does not burn.

  • Reheating from the fridge if kept overnight: Pre-heat the oven to 200°C. Place the roast pork on the lowest rack in the oven for about 10-15 mins... you should be able to see the meat juices ‘bubble’ on the side, but don't worry if you don't. Keep an eye on the roast pork to ensure the skin does not burn.

  • Once reheated, remove it from the oven and let it sit for at least 30 mins - yup, you're going to have fight the temptation. This allows the delicious juices to settle and be reabsorbed into the meat, giving a moist and tender meat. Yum!

  • Cut and serve.

Is the weight of the roast pork before or after cooking?

  • It's the weight before cooking.

  • During cooking the meat unfortunately loses some of it's yummy fat juices and moisture, so the weight will be lighter after cooking.
